Required Experience

Consulting as UX resource for Redbridge Council on behalf of Required Experience. Our main role was to deliver wireframes for the development to build features as part of the digital transformation that is taking place.

We delivered both simple and complex solutions for the council helping to achieve their goals of converting manual/telephone services to their online platform. Our UX specialist worked closely with business analysts and a number of developers to deliver high-end solutions.

Having worked on government based projects previously, we were in a good position to help define patterns for the Redbridge Council. A piece of work we took pride in was the creation of GOV.UK assets in Axure. GOV.UK provide resources for development on their website i.e. GIT repo’s to pull ready-made components such as radio buttons, check boxes, inputs etc. However, there aren’t any resources available from a user experience perspective apart from the style guides.

The assets we created characterise the exact behaviour as prescribed by the GDS. They are defined as the base rules for developing a government platform and can be added to to bring it inline with the overarching government sectors brand (eg a council). Various stakeholders meetings, progress reviews and workshops were orchestrated in order to gather accurate details for wire-framing to take place. It was required that our UX consultant.

Axure is a very powerful software and helped greatly in demonstrating (accurately) our intended outcome for various features.

Conditional statements, passing variables and dynamic panels were some of the features we used to deliver our solutions.
